  • Easter Competition

    Tue 31 Mar 2020

We have decided to reinstate our annual Easter Garden & Bonnet competition, with all children being invited to email photographs of their creations to school at head@roughlee.lancs.sch.uk. All entries will be proudly displayed in our school entrance hall and will be judged on Monday 20th April 2020, with gift vouchers being issued to the winners.

Well done to James and Sienna, who have already submitted their wonderful entries.

  • Home Learning

    Tue 31 Mar 2020
Well done to all of you who are extremely busy completing your home learning activities. Please keep sending us your photographs and we'll continue to share them on our website so that all of your friends and family can share in your achievements.
  • Sports Relief 2020

    Fri 13 Mar 2020

As part of our Sports Relief celebrations today, the children have enjoyed a Sports afternoon. They have participated in a mini football tournament, a variety of playground activities and yoga.

Children who had 100% attendance between 2nd March 2020 and 13th March 2020 (with no late marks) were presented with an official Sports Relief prize during our Celebration assembly this morning.

  • PAIS TEAM WORSHIP

    Fri 13 Mar 2020

The PAIS Team led our worship yesterday, retelling the biblical story of ‘The Prodigal Son’. They linked the story to our focused Christian Value of ‘Forgiveness’. After worship, George and Holly had the pleasure of racing members of the PAIS Team around our new playground course –the children of course won! Well done.

  • World Book Day 2020

    Fri 06 Mar 2020

The children looked fabulous in their costumes and pyjamas yesterday. They thoroughly enjoyed their ‘World Book Day’ reading activities and learning about the importance of not using digital devices before bedtime – as this can be extremely detrimental to their health and wellbeing.

Margaret, as always, had a very difficult task judging the children’s wonderful costumes, but after much deliberation with staff, she has awarded Taha, Georgi, Hyder and Maia with prizes. This year, following a suggestion from Miss Lord, we have presented each child with a brand new reading book of their choice.
