  • Scarf Day

    Fri 11 Feb 2022

Today the school participated within a wide range of activities focused on developing our children’s understanding of mental health and wellbeing. This was part of school’s participation in national mental health and wellbeing week and in response to the significant detrimental impact the pandemic has had upon our children. It was wonderful to see so many children wearing their scarves in recognition of mental health awareness. If you wish to explore this further with your child/ren then there are a vast range of resources and guidance at www.childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk.

  • Safer Internet Day

    Fri 11 Feb 2022

The children today, as part of Safer Internet Day, also explored a range of strategies in order to help keep themselves and others safe online. As part of this day, the children were shown how to anonymously report online bullying through our school website. Further information and resources can be found at www.saferinternetday.org/en-GB

  • NSPCC Number Fun Day

    Fri 04 Feb 2022

The children and staff have all enjoyed a wonderful fun filled day focusing on ‘Number’, as part of the school’s participation in NSPCC’s Number Fun Day. They have explored a wide range of different activities involving number; including playing a lot of games. It has been great to see all the children so engaged and excited about Maths. During our Celebration Assembly, we focused on the importance of number within Maths, but also on the work the NSPCC do in safeguarding children and families. Our children were shown how to access the NSPCC through our school website.

  • Year 5 and 6 Bikeability

    Fri 04 Feb 2022

Our year 5 and 6 children have thoroughly enjoyed their Bikeability sessions with Nathan, Will, John and Adam from Go Velo. The children’s behaviour and attitude was impeccable and all the children have developed a good understanding of staying safe on the roads and increased confidence riding their bikes.

Our Year 3 and 4 children will be completing their bikeability training next Monday and Tuesday. Children can wear alternative footwear for these sessions if they struggle to ride in their school shoes, but school shoes must also be brought to school.
