Our week commenced with a very informative and enjoyable visit from Kate and her team from The Guide Dogs. They were also joined by Bree and Lilibet, who were extremely well behaved guide dogs. The children explored the impact blindness can have upon your life – they experienced total darkness in a sensory tent and with blindfolds. They also enjoyed learning about the vital work The Guide Dogs do to help make a difference.
Thank you to all those who brought their amazing pets to see us in school this week – the children were captivated by them. We had a wide range of visitors from dogs and cats to a pony!
Throughout the week, the children have enjoyed learning about their pets and a wide range of animals. They also enjoyed completing various animal themed arts & crafts activities. This has been an amazing week. Thank you to everyone who helped make this a truly memorable experience for the children.
Our Pet Week concluded with the children celebrating in non-uniform and making some delicious animal biscuits. Thank you for your kind donations, which will help The Guide Dogs continue their important work.
On Friday 10th October, our Wellbeing Warriors planned, organised and led a day of exciting activities to promote the importance of wellbeing. We wore bright colours to represent positivity, learned some new breathing techniques in assembly, learned about how the brain works and took part in some fun crafts in the afternoon, supported by our pupil leaders.
