We had a very successful and enjoyable Easter Fair yesterday. There were a wide range of activities and stalls available. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the Fair - we raised an incredible £243.20! All monies raised will be utilised to provide the children with enrichment activities throughout the Summer Term. Congratulations to Fatima (Year 2), who accurately guessed that there were 155 eggs inside the jar.
We would like to thank all those families who participated in our annual Easter competitions. The beautiful Easter bonnets and spectacular Easter gardens were proudly on display at the Fair yesterday. Every child who entered received a treat.

On Monday, our Junior children visited the Manchester Jewish Museum. Their behaviour was exemplary and the children learned a lot of fascinating facts about not only Judaism, but also the large Jewish community in Manchester. During the visit, the children explored the oldest synagogue in Manchester and a wide range of artefacts in the museum. The children utilised what they had learnt to produce a short documentary video.
Our Infant children had a wonderful time at The Nest Farm on Monday. They thoroughly enjoyed their hands on experience with a variety of animals and learning about them, i.e. their diets, temperaments, etc.
This morning our Infant children visited Barely Sculpture Trail as part of their Art and DT topic and locality study. The children were fascinated by the wonderful sculptures and enjoyed learning about the various artists, who were inspired by the Pendle Witches. The children were extremely well-behaved and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Yesterday, our Year 5 children participated within an inter-schools tri golf event at the Leisure Box. The children were superb ambassadors of our school and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Well done!
Thank you to all those who were able to join us on Wednesday for our Music Concert at the Village Centre. The children sang beautifully and performed like the accomplished musicians they are; it was a wonderful event for all involved. Watching the children help support each other and perform with such confidence was amazing to see – the staff were incredibly proud of every single child!
The children looked fabulous in their costumes and pyjamas yesterday. They thoroughly enjoyed their ‘World Book Day’ reading activities and learning about the importance of not using digital devices before bedtime – as this significantly affects the quality of their much-needed sleep. They also enjoyed a very special World Book Day Lunch – thank you Kiera!
As always, it was a very difficult task judging the children’s wonderful costumes, but after much deliberation, prizes were awarded to: Safaa, Eesa, Fatima, Aamina, Ruby, Dhakirah and Eiliyah. Thank you to all our families for your continued support and the enormous effort you have evidently put into your child/ren’s costumes – they were fantastic!
